Mason went to New York.
Good. Now that that's out of the way...
SUNDAY!
Sunday was a pretty relaxing day. We got to go to the Manhattan 1st ward which is located in the Manhattan temple (I know, right?) We enjoyed it very much.
Probably one of my favorite things said during the whole thing wasn't said by one of the many people giving their testimonies. It was said by Jordan sitting next to me... "Everyone looks so... 'New York'" I tried not to laugh.
One of our most favorite memories from this ward was the chorister. The chorister, baton in hand, lead the entire congregation by singing louder than everyone else. He kind of shocked us because we were sitting in the second row. That much voice coming straight at you at the very beginning of a sacrament meeting I am just not used to...
After we finished we went back to the apartment and got changed and went for a walk through central park. Luckily we didn't get scared off by the sixty mile an hour wind that was persistent at whipping us with rain or we would have turned back and missed the beauty that was central park.
After a quick stop inside of the Museum of Natural History...
... We went back to our lodgings.
We made dinner and enjoyed our cupcakes.
(I got Carmel Apple.)
For the rest of the night we just visited and watched "The Blindside" that was a good movie.
Monday!
Monday was a very good day for many reasons.
1. We got to see an old friend of ours that moved to Connecticut.
2. The MoMA. (Tim Burton Exhibit!!!!!!)
3. I got to check off something on my list of things to do before I die.
4. Magnolia's
5. Max Brenner's
6. Blue Man Group.
First off, we went down to Times Square.
Then we met up with Sean and got to go to our most favorite place...
The three story American girl store... Ugh... We weren't in there to shop. I promise you that. We were finding the rest of our group.
After that we went to the MoMA. After barely keeping hold of our sanity, fighting through the many, teetering on pornographic to just plain pornographic, images. We made it. We made it to the Tim Burton exhibition!!! HECK YEAH!
Unfortunately, no pictures allowed inside the actual exhibit... I managed to sneak one.
This was so amazing. They had everything! His early sketches all the way down to the props from his movies! Incredible!
My personal favorite picture that we saw was
"The blind man with permanent seeing eye dogs."
Here are a few other selections that we were able to see.
He is such an odd and multi-talented individual... Sadly, it had to come to an end... We did get this awesome picture though.
For fear of this post getting any longer, I have to cut it off right now...
STILL more to come....

Looks like you had an AMAZING time! Great pictures!
